Its that time of year again, where my favorite holiday is nearing. There are so many things I love about this holiday season... things like decorating the Christmas tree, lighting the fireplace to warm up on a chilly night, and gathering with loved ones. I love getting family and friends together year round just to celebrate and enjoy each other, but this is also one of my favorite times of the year to do so. Here are a few holiday place setting ideas which I absolutely love!

Decorating for Fall

Fall is a fun time of the year, when the leaves start to turn from green to oranges, yellows, browns and reds. The air becomes a little crisper and we begin to prepare for the holidays. I love the smell of apple cider and cinnamon, which always reminds me of fall. Decorating for fall can be fun! Now that Halloween is over, its time to recycle those uncarved pumpkins and put them on display with your fall decor. Here are a few of my favorite ideas for fall decor.

Towel Rod Alternative

I'm not a huge fan of towel rods in the bathroom... I mean, they are a necessity, but they just don't look great... until now! I love this idea of hanging towels on coat hangers mounted on a decorative shelf. You can fit a lot more towels on there too!

I can't tell you how long I waited to post about Halloween. It was back in July when I was already getting the itch to decorate! Well, September came and went, and now it is October and it is officially "Halloween season!" I do, however, have a confession to make; I couldn't wait until October 1st to decorate, so I put up my Halloween decorations at the end of September. :) After all, there is no rule on when you're allowed to start decorating for Halloween, right???! Here are some pictures of my decorations.

PS- As an added bonus, all of my Halloween lights just so happen to be in the right place for feng shui. Lights represent the fire element in feng shui. The fire element goes well in my living room, which also corresponds with the northwest, or knowledge area of my home. I love that it worked out just that way!

Happy Halloween!
